Your Voice Is Like A Diamond!

Why Certified Fancy?

When my husband and I were shopping for wedding rings, we noticed that the rarer diamonds were labeled "Certified Fancy." This practice struck me as the perfect metaphor for the singing voice. There are many different kinds of diamonds, some rare in color and size, some small and yet precious. Not every voice is like the Hope Diamond, so rare it needs to be on display for the world. EVERY VOICE, however, is a diamond that, with the polishing touch of a master with the right tools, can sparkle, be admired, and bring joy for generations to come.

Let me help you achieve the polished voice you've always dreamed of, and find the right setting in which to shine.

What Makes Us a Perfect Fit?

What Makes Us a Poor Fit?

  • You have a desire to really know music and master singing

  • You wish you could trust your voice teacher to give you positive AND honest feedback

  • You know that getting good at any skill takes consistent work, and are looking for a meticulous technician to make it worth your time

  • Singing is connected to your soul. Often technical issues are rooted in mental stumbling blocks. You understand that I will identify the technical and mental stumbling blocks standing between you and mastery

  • You enjoy a bit of slapstick humor

  • You are willing to take responsibility for your progress and success

  • You are forcing your child/partner to take lessons for their own good

  • You have an audition only 2 weeks away and need a letter of recommendation

  • You don't want to take any risks

  • You are easily startled and prefer a calm and soft-spoken instructor

  • You want to sing heavy metal, hard rock, or Jazz  (classical technique will give you full mastery of your voice which helps Jazz, but I don't teach Jazz)

  • You just want to be told you're awesome and are not open to change

We will work together well if you can identify with the following.
