What is this about?
Do you have a competition or audition coming up and would like to get a judges feedback BEFORE you peform?
Would you just like a second opinion on your voice?
Are you stuck with your current teacher and have given a good try (at least 6 months), but are stuck?
Do you leave your voice lesson with your voice hurting?
Sometimes teachers reach the limit of their technical and pedagogical know how. Worst case scenario they are con artists and have no actual skills.
Whether you just want to get an idea of where your voice stands, confirm that another teacher hears the same as yours, or you are preparing for an upcoming recital, concert, competition, audition, and want to make sure you are perceived the way you want to be, this vocal evaluation is for you.
I judge several vocal competitions. Send me a video of you singing and I will give you an unbiased opinion and evaluation, much like I would someone participating in an audition or competition.
Keep in mind, that judges are always rooting for you to do your best, so my goal is to help you do your best, and succeed with the recommendations I provide.Technical Specs
Please upload a youtube link of the video you would like me to review for your competition, audition, or just to get a vocal evaluation.
If you are a classical singer, I suggest you use either appcompanist, a nice accoustic space to record in, or you can use an omni-directional microphone. I want to hear your voice, warts and all, so no adding echo, or altering it.Attire and Recording Specs
ATTIRE: If you want me to provide feedback on your attire please wear the shoes and clothes you plan to wear at the competition/audition.
HAIR: Long haired singers always have your hair out of your face. Half up is fine. Wear your hair in the video the way you plan to wear it.
MAKE UP: I'm happy to provide general feedback of too much, too little.
POSITION: Include your full head and full upper body in video. More if you can, especially if you are doing MT.
